The Poetry School is coming to Canada Water

The Poetry School, the UK’s largest provider of poetry education, is moving to Canada Water in May. They will be based from the historic former Dock Offices, part of the Canada Water Masterplan site. The Poetry School is a registered charity and Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation supported using public funding by Arts Council England. Their courses and activities encourage poets and poetry to flourish acting both as a school and talent development agency. More information available here:

In line with our focus on ensuring the physical changes the Masterplan delivers go hand in hand with bringing social and economic benefits for the local community, we have agreed a local community programme which will be shaped by community input and supported at the School by a newly appointed outreach officer.

Over the coming months, staff from The Poetry School will be getting to know the local area, developing the community programme and exploring ways to support local skills and employment.
